1 Post Thanks / Like Replacing Diodes on Lincoln sp125 plus. 20 plus yrs of use I cant send it to scrap Well Ive already picked up an Amico 140 welder off home depots website and its not too bad for the price. I have a Lincoln 135 Pro that I use all the time for sheetmetal. Works great, on the smaller stuff no problem. If you have the power, and the dough, go bigger, but if you have a 1927 house like me, with 120 wiring, its a good machine. FYI I use a regular push gun on aluminum. I am taking a lunch break and going out to weld more of it. A teflon liner is a must. Use 5356 wire 4043 is to soft trust me I have a roll in mine right now. Also make sure that your drive roll tension is not to much, enough to move the wire but not enough to push it when you have the wire held at the gun.Cleanliness in a wirefeed insures problem free usability. Good luck.LB.If your machine is a SP-125T, check the voltage selector switch. A bad switch will kill both weld power and wire feed. A bad switch will also prevent power from getting to the rectifier. A bad rectifier will take out both weld and wire feed in either an SP-125T or an SP-125-PLUS.
